Ski and Snowboard Swap

October 16th & 17th, 2021

Ski Swap is held at the Sterling location

The Ski and Snowboard swap is a great way to buy and sell used equipment. Held in October, the "Swap" has been held at Alpine since 1976. Come down and find amazing deals on older merchandise.

Item Drop Off will begin at a To Be Determined date before the Swap and go through the Friday before the Swap.


We reserve the right to refuse or remove any items from the Swap.

No broken or damaged equipment.
No straight skis or skis with obsolete binding systems.
No step-in or click-in snowboard bindings or boots.
No Helmets (safety concerns)
No Goggles


What happens when my item sells?
 - Sold items are recorded under your customer number that will be assigned to you at check in. Store Credit for the amount your item(s) sold for will be applied in a Gift Card or Store Credit which can be used Monday after the Swap.

When can I drop off my items?
 - Items can only be dropped off Monday- Friday Before the swap. No Items accepted the day of the swap.
What time is the Swap?
 - The Swap starts Saturday morning at 10am. If you are selling you will want to drop off as early as possible to get the most exposure time. If you are looking for items to buy, be willing to show up early and hang out for a few hours to see what shows up. The Swap will end Sunday afternoon at 4pm. We ask that you please check back with us on Sunday afternoon before 4pm to see if your item has sold or check, which will be updated throughout the day.

What kinds of items can I sell? - We prefer that you keep your items to the sports that we carry at Alpine Ski Shop. We will accept limited numbers of longboards, inline skates, and car rack accessories used for carrying equipment.

How many items can I sell? - We ask you to please limit your items to no more than 15.

What is my item worth?
 - Rule of thumb is roughly 25%-30% of original Retail Value. Until we can physically see your item it is very hard to place any kind of value on it. The use, maintenance, and storage of an item can greatly affect its current value. We will work with you to find a price that will help your item sell and at the same time try to get your maximum value.

What if my item does not sell?
 - We ask that you please check back with us on Sunday afternoon before 4pm to see if your item has sold. If it has not sold please pick your item up before close of business Monday after the Swap. If not picked up by Close of Business Monday after the Swap, it will be Donated to the Timberline Ski Patrol. 

What if I don't pick up my item on time?
 - All items not picked up by Close of Business Monday will be donated to the Timberline Ski Patrol.

Do I need to be present to sell my item? - You do not need to be present to sell your item. We will help you come to a fair price when the item is checked in and tag it with your information and price. From there our knowledgeable sales staff will work with buyers to place them in the appropriate equipment.

When can I use my store credit from my item? - Store credits from sold items will be available Monday after the Swap.
